A Winter’s Thrill

Snowflakes falling on my nose.

Crunchy leaves beneath my toes.

Cold wind tickles in my ears.

Birds and squirrels all disappear.

Wind chimes blowing round and round;

grass is nowhere to be found.

Fires are crackling in every home.

another fall has come and gone.

Making angels in the snow.

Where did all the sunshine go?

Beautiful lights enchant the town;

the smell of pine trees all around.

Mom cooks all my favorite foods:

Turkey, ham, and dressing too.

Presents sparkle under the tree.

I wonder which one is meant for me.

Hot chocolate drinks and cookies to eat.

Fuzzy slippers cover my feet.

A season filled with family and friends.

I hope winter never ends.
